Sam Concepcion

Even before he won the Little Big Star singing competition, Sam Concepcion was already a Little Big Star in his own right performing way back when he was just a kid. At 14 years old, he never ceased to be the multi-talented kid who was always willing to sing a music piece to eager spectators. Its just that this time around, he sings to his fans and admirers from all corners of the country and even the world. Sam Concepcion is now one of the coolest guy around.

His break to fame came when he emerged as the ultimate winner as the Brightest Star at ABS-CBN's Little Big Star, Big Star Division in 2005. Since then everything else followed. He has since appeared in several commercials, TV guesting, and playing roles in TV soap operas. Moreover, he is preparing himself for a series of singing engagements abroad. He is also to release his first new music album to which he is very excited about. He will be playing as the kid role of Piolo Pascual's TV soap opera with Claudine Barretto which will also start this year. And the good news is there is still more to come for the blessed guy.

Indeed, Sam Concepcion is a blessed teen. Born to Christian parents who are both into performing arts, Sam grew up admiring the talents of his parents while at the same time learning from them the Christian values and way of life. He grew up in a playground wherein arts and music is the ultimate expression of praise and thanksgiving to God. His parents as well as his siblings are into theater. Sam is blessed with a golden voice which allowed him to join musicals as early as 8 years old. As a matter of fact, before he joined Little Big Star he was already a talent of Stages which is the sister company of Trumpets Playshop a company who trains and molds theater talents.

God meant him to be a singer and that his voice is God's gift for him. Nurturing his talent for singing and using it to be of help and an entertainment to others is his way of thanking God. He loves where his life is right now. He was blessed with a heavenly voice and through it, all the rest of his prayers for a happy life is realized. “I was born singing and born from a family of singers, yun na talaga…and I really love what I am doing now – all the theater, all the tv, singing, dancing, acting,” he says.

Despite of a busy schedule, he never fails to attend church. On Sundays he always make sure to find time to be with God to thank Him for becoming one of the coolest guys around. “I grew up sa Church, my parents were workers in the church ministry, I grew up in Sunday schools, we were taught (by my parents) na lagi kami dapat grounded that everything is from Him and I know that anytime He can take a way everything” he humbly explains. The rest of the week he will be out nurturing his gift and spreading music to remind us all that each one of us is just as gifted as Sam Concepcion.
